Carlos Lagomarsino

Carlos Lagomarsino is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of HomeInsurance.com- where he puts his 16 years of experience of home insurance entrepreneurship to good work.
Before delving into his career as an insurance agent, Carlos was part of the Proctor & Gamble Management Team. His career at Proctor & Gamble moved him to Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and eventually to an international assignment in Puerto Rico. After seven years- and five promotions- Carlos couldn’t shake the entrepreneurial bug. One day, standing in front of a shopping center he asked himself, “What is this shopping center missing?” His answer? An insurance company. Carlos made this big break from Proctor & Gamble in 1992 and joined the Allstate team as an exclusive agent.
His success in 1993 marked just the tip of the iceberg for Carlos when he won the Allstate Rookie of the Year Award. Then, in 1994, Carlos and his agency took home the Top Home Insurance Writer in the Country Award, marking their success as the best Allstate home insurance agency out of 15,000 agencies nationwide. All of which only foreshadowed the great achievements to come.
Between 1992 and 2007, Carlos built a top-notch insurance organization winning the coveted Overall Best in Company four times, and 12 additional Top in Country Awards for their success in the various product lines. During this time Carlos also served on the National Advisory Board for Allstate.
In 2001, Carlos could see the potential for the home insurance business in an online market. He founded northcarolinainsurance.com, southcarolinainsurance.com, georgiainsurance.com and alabamainsurance.com; becoming one of the first online home insurance businesses. As business grew it became apparent to Carlos what needed to happen. He expanded his regional online business to a national operation with the launch of his latest success story: HomeInsurance.com.
In 2007, Carlos was inducted into the Allstate Hall of Fame. Shortly afterwards, he handed over complete control of the Allstate agency to his brother and brother-in-law in order to focus all of his efforts on HomeInsurance.com. Since then, Carlos has been continually growing HomeInsurance.com-providing one place where home owners can shop multiple companies and purchase home insurance policies right from their home computers.
Carlos is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, boating, fishing, cooking and reading.

Jana Bell
Senior Managing PartnerBusiness Center Operations
As Director of Business Center Operations, Jana oversees the daily operation of the company working with interdepartmental team leaders to ensure everything is running smooth. Jana started with HomeInsurance.com’s CEO at the Allstate Agency as a sales agent in 2003. After three promotions in only six years, she has become a vital part of the leadership team.
Jana graduated from Worcester State College with a B.S. in Psychology. She also holds an NC Property and Casualty License. In her spare time, Jana is a full time mom and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Bruce Berry
Senior Managing PartnerSales, Recruiting and Development
At HomeInsurance.com, Bruce serves as Director of Sales and Recruiting where he oversees all of the company’s sales training and monitors the development of the sales agents and team leaders.
Bruce began his career in the mortgage business and then started as a home insurance agent over 10 years ago with HomeInsurance.com’s CEO at the Allstate Agency. He worked as a sales representative and sales manager helping the agency win the coveted Overall Best in Company four times, as well as 12 Top in Country Awards for their success in the various product lines.
Bruce holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Campbell University and spends his free time wood working and spending time with his wife and three children.

Jason Riley
Managing PartnerSales Team Leader
As Sales Team Leader, Jason is responsible for quality control of all policies quoted and issued, as well as assisting in employee training, process development and goal tracking. Coming to HomeInsurance.com with 3 years of sales management experience, he was quickly promoted from a Sales Agent to Sales Team Leader in 2007.
Jason holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Salisbury University and is also a nationally licensed agent. In his spare time Jason can be found in the water surfing, fishing or diving.

Mike Pesackis
Managing PartnerSales Team Leader
As a Sales Team Leader at HomeInsurance.com, Mike does his best to bring out the best in every sales person he supervises in order to bring outstanding service to each and every HomeInsurance.com customer. Before coming to HomeInsurance.com, Mike was the managing director of a private investment bank in San Francisco. He oversaw investment portfolios and raised money for venture capital deals, hedge funds and limited partnerships. He holds insurance licenses on a national basis as well as security licenses Series 7, Series 24, Series 63 and Series 65. Mike graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in 1992 with a double major in English and Philosophy.
In his spare time Mike enjoys reading books to his daughter, cooking, rooting for the Carolina Hurricanes and playing poker and disc golf.

Josh Roberts
Managing PartnerSales Team Leader
As a Sales Team Leader here at HomeInsurance.com, Josh monitors his team of agents to guarantee that they provide the best possible service to our customers. Before joining the team at HomeInsurance.com, Josh worked as a sales manager and trainer of Stealth Digitizing Technology for a local Granite Fabricator. He also worked as performer, master carpenter, and sound and lighting technician for various theatre companies. Josh is licensed on national basis to sell insurance. Josh attended Point Park College Conservatory for Theatre and Film.
Outside of the office Josh can be found playing the guitar and piano while singing rock n’ roll with his son. He is also a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan and enjoys spending lazy weekends with his wife and pets.

Bill Robert

As a Sales Team Leader at HomeInsurance.com, Bill supervises his agents to ensure they are delivering accurate and timely home and auto package insurance quotes to our customers. Previously, Bill was employed at Yankee Hill Machine Company in East Hampton Massachusetts and served as their sole Weapon Specialist Sales Leader. Bill is currently licensed on a national basis to sell insurance.
In his spare time, Bill enjoys spending time with his family and watching Boston Red Sox games (He’s the biggest fan we know!). He also enjoys camping, fishing, video games, movies, paintball and playing Texas Hold-em with his pals.

Kyle is the Director of Search Marketing at HomeInsurance.com where he utilizes his web programming and website design skills on a daily basis. Kyle oversees the internet marketing campaigns and search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising. Before coming to HomeInsurance.com, Kyle served as Project Manager of Web Services for Ford Design Group where he was responsible for project development, web programming and internet marketing.
Kyle graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.A. in Management Information Systems. Outside of the office Kyle can be found surfing, boating and spending time with his wife and family.

James Freeman

As Director of IT, James is responsible for the development of new technologies with partnering companies, Unix server Administration and managing XML applications. James previously served as a Senior Programmer for a private company where he programmed Linux flight panel displays used in air liners such as Boeing, Air Bus and the Department of Defense. He also worked as a developer of interactive television applications for companies such as WebTV, MSNTV, iOpener and Dreamcast.
James graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering. Outside of the office, James spends time with his wife and son, likes to read, is currently taking piano lessons and even does some XML programming.

Ryan Housand

As Director of Systems Administration, Ryan is responsible for the installation and configuration of Window Terminal servers using thin clients, management of phone systems, development of data recovery systems and installation and configuration of Email, Web and Data base servers. Ryan also audits and secures our network and systems to ensure our data remains uncompromised.
Ryan brings his ten years of Linux and Window systems administration experience that he gained from working in the medical, call center and production environments prior to HomeInsurance.com. In his free time, Ryan enjoys sailing, off-shore fishing and playing golf.

As Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Carrie is responsible for overseeing web development for online customer experience, development of promotional contests, the creation of SEO based website content, maintaining media contacts and public relations, and assisting with internal communication projects. Before coming to HomeInsurance.com, Carrie was an Account Executive for Sage Island Interactive Marketing Agency.
Carrie holds a B.A. in English with a Certification in Professional Writing. Outside of the office, Carrie enjoys gardening, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and pets.

Outside of the office, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife, Carla. Together they work diligently with a mentorship program designed to enrich others lives.
