Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon announced earlier this week that homeowners can now view comparative rate guides on the state’s DOI website: www.ldi.state.la.us.

This is a huge step for Louisiana homeowners who pay some of the highest rates in the country due to their impact by the major hurricanes of the past few years.

“Shopping Around” has for a long time been the best way for homeowners to get the best insurance rates and now the Louisiana Department of Insurance has taken some of the legwork out of that process for homeowners in the state.

Homeowners can view the Homeowners Insurance Guide and see which companies offer the lowest rates by county making affordable homeowners insurance easier to attain.
