The Texas Department of Insurance has launched a website to help consumers compare Texas home insurance rates online.  The website offers rates from the top 25 insurer groups in Texas. 

Homeowners can plug in their basic information, dwelling coverage, claims info, zip code, etc, and recieve 25 estimated comparative rates. While the rates are based on each visitor’s specific criteria, they are only estimated and actual rates may vary because of insurance scores and other variables.

One of our partners, Travelers Insurance, is one of the Top 25 Companies that offers rates on the site. In a test run on the site, I found Travelers to be the most competitively priced company in numerous counties.
