Recent Press: Homeowners are wising-up to home insurance discounts

Recently at HomeInsurance.com we performed a poll asking homeowners which home insurance discounts they were taking advantage of.  We were curious as to how many homeowners take advantage of burglar alarm discounts, dead bolt discounts and homeowner discounts. We found that while many homeowners take advantage of these discounts, we were surprised to see how many home insurance customers were not sure which discounts they were receiving. We decided to take a deeper look at the consumer experience alongside data from a more recent 2008 J.D. Power and Associates poll about homeowners satisfaction with their policies. The fact that more consumers are shopping for discounts is not surprising given the current state of the economy.
