Article: Tips For Easing Money Worries

Filed Under (Personal Finance) by Editor

I wanted to share an article that I think almost every homeowner can appreciate right now- Tips for Easing Money Worries.  The article shares some refreshing insights on how how to handle money worries- unlike many home finance articles  that simply offer tips for budgeting.

The best tip in the article?  I thought #2: Set a Worry Time,  is an excellent tip for any busy homeowner who finds themself  thinking and worrying about money throughout their daily routine. The article, by Parenting.com, suggests that setting a specific day and time to worry about financial issues can help people curb their tendency to stress continuously.  For example, if you start worrying about how you are going to afford your winter heating bills, set aside a time (Friday at 2:30?) to worry about the problem. That way you can stop thinking about it until then  (hopefully!).

Another great idea in the article is about finding one way to save on regular expenses each week.  One of the easiest ways  to make a new home budget  turn into a total nightmare is to try and save money on absolutely everything at the same time. The article suggests picking one thing each week and finding a way to save on it. (May we suggest Saving on Home Insurance as this week’s expense savings? )
