White House Dog a Dangerous Breed?

The level of public excitement about the Obama’s new dog was hard to anticipate. As the new President and his family began researching types of dogs that would make a good fit for them suggestions came in from all over. As home insurance gurus, we couldn’t help but wonder what dog breed the Obama’s would pick- and whether or not this would affect the White House home insurance rates! (There is a list of 20 Dangerous Dog Breeds that can easily spike home insurance rates for owners)

So the vote is in and it looks like the Obama’s will be the proud owners of a Portuguese Water Dog (not considered  a dangerous breed). They are supposedly planning to adopt in April and dog lovers across the country are  awaiting the first pics of the chosen pooch.
