Green Job Training Growing in Popularity- But In Numbers?

More Colleges Are Offering Certification in 'Green Fields'

Homeowners concerned about the current job outlook might have some relief. A recent report by CNN.com shows that the Green Industry may offer some hope.  And while many experts say that the economy is stifling the Green Industry, others believe that the recently approved Stimulus Package will lift the burden and create hundreds of thousands of green jobs around the country.

These “green collar” jobs include solar panel installers, wind turbine mechanics, renewable energy experts and green building professionals.

Community colleges are beginning to offer green programs to license and certify people to work in these fields. Many of these schools sell their programs as a “guaranteed way to find a job” claiming that green collar jobs will be extremely prevalent over the next few years.
