In light of April Fool’s Day, This Old House published an eye-opening montage of the 20 weirdest and wildest homes around the globe. Some of the homes featured? The Upside down home, The Shoe-Shaped home, The Jetsons-style home and the Cave home (all featured below).  

It’s difficult for many homeowners to believe that these homes are actually occupied, however, all of them are real, functioning homes with real-life residents.

If you visit the full article you can see all 20 homes and get the low-down on each one. Some of them have rather famous designers and/or owners.

We can’t help but wonder, as home insurance consultants, what type of homeowners insurance coverage these residents carry. Imagine the inspector’s surprise when he came out to inspect these homes!
