Are you smarter than a home insurance agent?

Filed Under (Company News, Shopping Tips) by Editor

homeinsuranceiq1When it comes to your homeowners insurance policy- how much do you really know about your coverage?

HomeInsurance.com is challenging customers to test their home insurance knowledge on a new quiz called Home Insurance IQ.

Home Insurance IQ asks 10 questions about a standard home insurance policy. It is designed to quiz customers on coverage limits, terms, definitions and other important aspects of their homeowners policies. While some homeowners may soar through with flying colors, others may just learn a thing or two.

Last summer HomeInsurance.com reported that 54 percent of homeowners visiting HomeInsurance.com claimed to know, “Not much at all”, about their homeowners insurance policies.  Since a home insurance policy is designed to protect what is usually the biggest investment a family has, it is important to know what is covered.

So, what is YOUR home insurance IQ? Brush up on your home insurance facts and see how you score. Visit: Home Insurance IQ.

I consider myself educated about home insurance, but I’m not sure I’m more educated than a home insurance agent. I always make sure to contact a licensed agent whenever I have questions. Assuming things is probably the worst thing an insurance consumer can do, especially since the real answer is just a phone call away.
