Role Summary:

The Front End Website Developer serves as an expert in the areas of website development, design, and HTML. The Front End Website Developer will have the opportunity to work on amazing projects such as integrating and building high-impact forward facing consumer websites, web services integration, intranet and extranet development, partner web service integrations, and web based comparison shopping engines. The Front End Website Developer has to be a smart, creative, analytical thinker, who can apply marketing and project management skills to a fast paced online environment. The Front End Website Developer acts as a business partner to the management staff and leadership team.

Primary Job Functions:

• Work with marketing team to develop wireframes and creative concepts for various websites and web applications.
• Create web design/graphics, animations, user interfaces, icons, style sheets, color schemes, templates and layouts for use in web and multimedia projects.
• Participate in new marketing ideas and projects, helping to develop and implement program strategy.
• Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages, primarily HTML and PHP
• Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
• Collaborate with SEO team to develop website applications and designs taking best practice SEO into website development
• Develop and maintain the global web standard guide
• Design emails, widgets, applications, and other front facing consumer based web applications and messaging.
• Front end graphical user interface design skills is preferred
• Software testing and quality assurance
• Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
• Support, maintain and document software functionality
• Integrate software with existing systems
• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
• Project Planning and Project Management
• Maintain standards compliance
• Implement localization or globalization of software
• Analytics work a plus

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience developing CSS/HTML/PHP web applications in a production environment
• Experience with developing and delivering commercial/enterprise websites required.
• Strong knowledge of web security, web-based architectures and solution development
• HTML - Must be an expert in W3C Strict Standards for HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.1, and at least know that HTML 5 is coming and the differences.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools
• CSS - must be expert in both Web based and e-mail based implementations
• JavaScript - must be 100% confident in your ability to produce cross browser compatible scripts for a best in class user experience
• Usability Design Experience - a BIG plus
• Strong work ethic – someone who loves to “crank” out the great work and takes great pride in doing so.
• BS Computer Science required or equivalent. MS preferred.
