Alfa Insurance Company was founded in 1946 as a product of the Alabama Farmers Federation. Alfa was started by John Tucker Harris, President of the Lee County Farm Association and a respected farmer in Alabama. Harris created Alfa in an effort to provide quality fire insurance to federation members, who were primarily farmers.
Since its founding, Alfa Insurance has grown to offer much more than just fire insurance. They now offer a variety of coverages to over 1 million customers in 11 states.
