New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company started in 1913, two years after New Jersey joined nine other states in creating the nation’s first workmen’s compensation systems. After the law required factories to provide injured works with medical care and partial wage replacement, NJ factory owners saw a need for a local, safety-oriented, reliable insurance provider – thus New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance was born.

New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance offers a variety of different insurance products. Claims process
Claims for flood, homeowners and personal and commercial auto can be filed 24/7. NJM offers both online and phone options for filing these claims. Workers’ compensation claims can be filed Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is also an online option available through registration.

For NJM customers, there are a variety of auto insurance discounts available. These discounts may include multi-car, anti-theft device (5 to 25 percent reduction), driver training (30 hour training required) and a mature driver improvement discount. This unique discount, available during renewal only, is available to honored citizens 55 and older. There is also a discount available through NJ Manufacturers home insurance. When a policyholder combines auto and homeowners insure, they can potentially receive a 5 percent discount. Keep in mind discounts availability may vary by state and not all customers are eligible.
